The sands of Treyarnon and Constantine bays are interupted by a flange of slate called Treyarnon Point. This shift from a narrow to a wide sandy beach via rock characterises PoE17a. It is the same but different and the difference is announced by undeniable change. - A sort rubiconic crossing of atmospheric boundaries.

On the relentless gentle rise past Bobby's Bay towards Dinas Head there is nothing to see except the turf and the ocean. Suddenly a lighthouse appears as though from nowhere. And the shock of it fades as suddenly as it arrived.

Beyond Trevose and a twisting lane of tamarisk the cliff abrubtly opens to a path leading to an impossibly beautiful Mother Ivey's Bay. And though its appearence is a shock - what else could possibly be there?

At Harlyn Bay the route turns to tarmac.

The lane beyond the golf club dips and rises amongst blackberry bushes. Finally it rises to a view of Constatine Bay. It is the same as it was hours ago. And yet it is different.
