Treyarnon is an attractive sandy cove fringed by slate. To the east lies Constantine Bay, a surfer's beach with long rolling waves. Porthcothan Beach lies to the west. So there is no shortage of sand on this stunning eight.

Features of PoE17 include Trevose lighthouse, which sits to the north of Stinking Cove. and Minnow Islands, half a mile short of Porthcothan. The coastline between Trevose and Harlyn Bay is of cinematic beauty with jagged off shore rocks and clear blue green seas.

Both inland sections involve some amount of road walking. Loop a bisects and skirts a golf club. Loop b doubles back onto the coastal path. The church and well of St. Constantine are a short detour away.

PoE17 is a strangely uplifting eight with as much variety as a circus. Its mood is somewhat stoic - the land provides a living whether that be from farming, from golfing or from fishing.

And though its purpose shifts, the land maintains its own beauty.
