Sharing a start point with PoE11, this loop undulates over farmland to the B3314. It continues inland over fields from where Rough Tor can be viewed in the distance. A stretch of tarmac winds seaward until another farm track skirts the brink of a wild valley before arriving at the coastal path.
Here loop a turns eastward and descends. Barrett's Zawn was once accessible by a tunnel the now overgrown entrance of which is visible on this descent. It has been closed since the 1980s when a roof fall rendered it unsafe. Delabole Point is a good place to look out for a variety of gull species. The route then rises steeply, flattens out for a few yards then falls and rises again.

After plunging to Jacket's Point the route turns inland again to travel up a gently rising valley.
Then dodge the cows to Tregragon Farm and head back to the start point.
