PoE11b cuts through farmland to pick up the coastal path at Jacket's Point.
The journey includes a delightful oblique route down valley among land too harsh to cultivate. This is visceral territory with rich evidence of wildlife. Buzzards lazily circle the skies but only while a resident pack of crows let them. Avian combat is not uncommon in this area.
At Jacket's Point an unnnamed stream spills over slate into the Atlantic making the rocks slippery and dangerous. Feral pigeons have been known to nest in surrounding caves. Cornish heather grows among the rocks on the path rising towards the cliff. Peregrine falcon hover in their search for pigeon. This is a beautiful spot to sit and observe.
From Delabole Point the route follows a narrow path along Tregardock Cliff. Fields stretch inland, a drop gapes seaward. Cormorant might be seen perching on the offshore rocks.
Turn left at the crossroads to visit Tregardock Beach, or right to complete the loop.
