Treligga is a cluster of dwellings set in an enviable location on the coast of North Cornwall. The village is surrounded by farmland and it is farmland that dominates the inland section of this loop.

Trecarne is a dairy farm with herds of Friesians. The going over its fields is flat and muddy with sea views beyond open grass. A breif wooded valley marks significant change in the landscape which buckles towards Backways Cove in a series of gently rolling hills.

The route emerges onto tarmac to meander through the hamlet of Trebarwith Village before plunging seaward to Trebarwith Strand. Refreshments are available by means of a short detour.

A steep climb to Dennis Point followed by a valley descent leads to Backways Cove from where Gull Rock takes on a different shape. A lazy zig zag rises to Treligga Common and Tregonnick Tail.

At the crossroads turn left to complete the loop or right to visit Tregardock Beach.
