A brief, beautiful loop featuring the romance of Hawker's hut, the beauty of Tidna Shute and the hospitality of the Bush Inn.

An ominous coastline can be viewed from Hawker's hut. This small robust timber structure is reputedly the site from which the reverend Hawker sat to muse or write his poetry and sermons. It is dark and furnished with fixed benches that face each other. The view is a marvel exceeded only by the hut's very existence.

Tidna Shute meanders gently upwards alongside a stream called The Tidna. It is wooded with gnarled trees of fantastic shape - a delightfully spooky walk in the half light of its own shade.

Yards short of the beginning and end of this loop lies the Bush Inn. The ancient bars have been joined in recent years by additional, spacious rooms suited to family gatherings and meal times. Seasonal teas can be enjoyed at the Bush Inn or at the Vicarage Tea Rooms opposite the church of Morwenstow.
